A Sense of Flora

A Sense of Flora explored the relationships between a sense of place and food crops; plant biodiversity and cultural diversity. It was an artist-led project working with Manchester Museum and the charity Rainbow Haven, which supports asylum seekers, refugees and people experiencing displacement. As part of my process I researched botany collections at the museum with curator of botany, Rachel Webster and delivered a series of print workshops at Rainbow Haven.

The final outcome was an exhibition at the museum which comprised of a large print installation of participants’ work and three new digital drawings, which I produced following research.
